About Me
Hello. My name is Kereen Gibson. I welcome you on your journey to attend to your mental health and overall well-being.
I was born and raised in Jamaica W.I. and later immigrated to the United States where I took a firm grasp of the opportunity to immerse myself in the rich cultures that make up the diverse tapestry of this country. This experience has led me to embody understanding, compassion, empathy, and appreciation which informs my personal and professional posture.
I have a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have invaluable experience and skills working with clients with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ identities, ensuring each person’s experiences and perspectives shape the development of the therapeutic relationship. I utilize an integrative approach that emphasizes CBT, Somatic, Person-centered, and Psychodynamic theories. I have experience working with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and adjustment disorder. I am dedicated to providing clients from diverse backgrounds, and communities, with multifaceted clinical support, resources, and guidance to facilitate healing, well-being, and growth in the individual and communal spheres of life.
